I hope that we see some questions and are able to give a satisfying answer.

Cat Picture - OC I did not let this cat in my house

I fed him on the deck 10 minutes ago and closed the sliding door. My cat door requires a magnetic collar, which he does not have. I can’t decide if he is magic or if my cat is holding the door open for him.

Everyone said the kitten needed a friend. So we got the kitten a friend. Now they romp around playing nonstop. Cute? Yes. Annoying? Absolutely. But they are perfect and best friends already!

Medical Questions Vet hasn't been able to find anything wrong with her lungs in the past

1.3k Upvotes

Edit 3: I'm not able to get her into my vet until tomorrow at 2pm. They'll let me know if anything sooner opens up. The emergency animal hospital is not feasible to get to right now. She is currently doing fine but I'm watching her like a hawk

Edit 4: I have a list of specific things I'm going to ask the vet to check & possible diagnoses it could be. Thanks everyone who commented!

--------

She does this on occasion. Sometimes she'll do this multiple times over 10 minutes 1 day & then be fine for months. She also sometimes makes grunting noises, I'll add that as a separate video in the comments

It doesn't sound quite like a cat asthma attack. When I bring it up at the vet, he can't find anything wrong with her lungs. Her hairball 'attacks' sound like vomiting

Any ideas?

Edit: she is COMPLETELY fine now, 5 minutes later
Edit 2: I will be making a vet appt for her ASAP. I wasn't sure how serious it is. I tend to overreact so I thought I'd double check first

Cat Picture - OC Please Send Cat Pics and Positive Vibes: Baby Is Spending 2nd Night At Vet

l only want your cute kitty photos, IBD success stories, and positive vibes. My little heart can’t take any stories of cats passing, complications with not keeping food down, IBD escalations, or vet horror stories.

My baby went to the emergency vet last night because he wasn’t able to keep any food down all day, even the tiniest of nibbles from my hand. His vitals were good, but he was kept overnight for an ultrasound when the day crew came in for their shift. I adopted him about 2 months ago and knew he had a sensitive tummy, but based on the ultrasound (not biopsy) he has Inflamed Bowel Disease. He ate and kept food down today while on anti-nausea meds, so they said “if he eats again when you come pick him up, he can go home.” No luck, wasn’t interested in any of his IBD-friendly foods, so he’s staying at the clinic overnight with the professionals to get an appetite stimulant and another round of anti-nausea meds.

If he continues to keep food down and eats without any meds he’ll be able to come home tomorrow and start a IBD-friendly prescription food.

Mourning/Loss Kitty is near her end and I am balling my eyes out

Post image

Kitty is 16 years old and I came home from work today she has obviously progressed into some sort of neurological decline. She saw me come in the room and was moving her head all over trying to stand up and immediately kept falling and she tried to bonk me and fell over. I am balling me eyes out right now. Am I going to come home tomorrow and she is gone? Do I need to put her down so she doenst suffer?

The spoiled 10 mo old "cattens" have taken over! We built them a custom catio to give them access to the outdoors while not getting eaten or eating any of our forest critters.

Oh my sweet, perfect, 3 legged Nori girl. She’s so beautiful but she’s also so derpy, angry, or strange looking in photos.
